What is Reiki Shiki Ryoho?
The word “ Reiki ” is pronounced: Ray-key
"Rei" means guided. "Ki" means life force energy"
Together, they mean that life force energy is being guided to bring the body, emotions, and spiritual aspects of ourselves into balance.
Reiki Shiki Ryoho is an ancient method of self-mastery (or self-growth) and healing using the chakras (energy centre’s) along with several energy/power symbols. The symbols are a training guide for new initiates to get used to using intent and focusing on the different levels/frequencies of energy.
A treatment feels like a wonderful glowing radiance that flows through and around you. Reiki treats the whole person including body, emotions, mind and spirit creating many beneficial effects that include relaxation and feelings of peace, security and wellbeing. Many have reported miraculous results.
Reiki is a simple, natural and safe method of spiritual healing and self-improvement that everyone can use. It has been effective in helping virtually every known illness and malady and always creates a beneficial effect. It also works in conjunction with all other medical or therapeutic techniques to relieve side effects and promote recovery. Although Reiki is an amazingly easy technique to use, is not taught in the usual sense. It is transferred to the student during a Reiki class. This ability is passed on during an "attunement" given by a Reiki master and allows the student to tap into an unlimited supply of "life force energy" to improve one's health and enhance the quality of life. Its use is not dependent on one's intellectual capacity or spiritual development and therefore is available to everyone. It has been successfully taught to thousands of people of all ages and backgrounds. While Reiki is spiritual in nature, it is not a religion. It has no dogma, and there is nothing you must believe in order to learn and use Reiki. In fact, Reiki is not dependent on belief at all and will work whether you believe in it or not. Because Reiki comes from God, many people find that using Reiki puts them more in touch with the experience of their religion rather than having only an intellectual concept of it.
While Reiki is not a religion, it is still important to live and act in a way that promotes harmony with others. Dr. Mikao Usui, the founder of the Reiki system of natural healing, recommended that one practice certain simple ethical ideals to promote peace and harmony, which are nearly universal across all cultures.

Balancing the Seven Chakras
Chakra Seven
Thought, universal identity, oriented to self knowledge, this Chakra is the crown chakra that relates to consciousness as pure awareness. It is our connection to the greater world beyond, to a timeless, space-less place of all knowing. When developed, this chakra brings us knowledge, wisdom, understanding, spiritual connection, and bliss.
Chakra Six
Light, archetypal identity, oriented to self reflection, this Chakra is known as the brow chakra or third eye center. It is related to the act of seeing, both physically and intuitively. It opens our psychic faculties and our understanding of archetypal levels. When healthy, it allows us to see clearly, in effect, letting us “see the big picture”.
Chakra Five
Sound, creative identity, oriented to self expression, this is the Chakra located in the throat and is thus related to communication and creativity. Here we experience the world symbolically through vibration, such as vibration of sound representing language.
Chakra Four
Air, social identity, oriented to self acceptance, this Chakra is called the heart chakra and is the middle chakra in a system of seven. It is related to love, and is the integrator of opposites in the psyche: mind and body, male and female, persona and shadow, ego and unity. A healthy fourth chakra allows us to love deeply, feel compassion, have a deep sense of peace
Chakra Three
Fire, ego identity, oriented to self definition, this Chakra is known as the power chakra, located in the solar plexus. it rules our personal power, will, and autonomy, as well as our metabolism. When healthy, this chakra brings us energy, effectiveness, and non-dominating power.
Chakra Two
Water, emotional identity, oriented to self gratification, the second Chakra is located in the abdomen, lower back, and sexual organs, and is related to water, to emotions, and sexuality. It connects us with others through feelings, desires, sensations, and sexuality. Ideally, this chakra brings us fluidity and grace, depth of feeling, sexual fulfillment, and the ability to accept change
Chakra One
Earth, physical identity, oriented to self preservation located at the base of the spine, this Chakra forms our foundation. It represents the earth, and is therefore related to our survival instincts. ideally, this chakra brings us health, security, and dynamic presence.
